Although the general public does not know their names, some of the most inventive and innovative artists of our time are the people behind the Internet’s most sophisticated interactive experiences and the digital visuals and sets we see on stage. The « Creative Technologists » are the professionals, groups and studios that research and develop new technologies and languages to expand the possibilities of graphic and web design, video and motion graphics, interaction and the creation of immersive environments. The Creative Technologies Café is an opportunity to find out about their work and learn about the development process of their most recent projects from the inside. This event will be hosted by Peter Kirn, the originator of the leading website Create Digital Music, and will feature the participation of the Berlin studio Pfadfinderei, which has been a key name on the live visuals scene for more than a decade, and worked with Modeselektor and Paul Kalkbrenner, among others; Miguel Garcia Risueño (Productionclub.net), a native of Zaragoza based in Los Angeles who is responsible for the visual displays in the live shows by Skrillex; Evan Grant from London studio Seeper; and the Londoners Robert Slater and Matthew Bateman, the directors of the studio Flat-E, who were responsible for the overall design of the latest album by Jamie Lidell and his spectacular interactive stage show with Projection Mapping.
