The Cribs – Anna
Work # 1431 is the new work by Turner Prize winning artist and musician Martin Creed. Equally it is the new music video for cult rock band The Cribs single 'Anna'. It features intimate photographs taken by the band jolting in and out of rhythm with the music, quick enough to recognise but not quite enough to see them fully. The stripped-down, deadpan minimalism is typical of Creed's style and fits in with the full-on heartfelt directness of The Cribs. Both born in Wakefield, they were mutual fans of each other before meeting last year when The Cribs invited Creed and his band to support them on their UK tour.
The Cribs will hit the road in October / November with shows as follows :
